Additionally, there is another part to the statute that enhances certain felony charges to the next level (3rd to 2nd, 2nd to 1st, 1st to Life) if a firearm or weapon is carried, displayed, used, threatened to be used, or attempted to be used or if an aggravated battery is committed during the commission of the crime.
