Mrs. Poore began her legal career in 2006 at the Public Defender’s Office in Jacksonville, FL in the misdemeanor division. She represented clients charged with all misdemeanors including DUI, petit theft, and domestic battery. She was promoted to the felony division and began handling cases such as drug sales, burglaries, and white collar crime. From the Public Defender’s Office, Mrs. Poore moved into private practice where she focused on criminal defense and injunctions.
In 2011, she returned to the Public Defender’s Office, was assigned to Repeat Offender Court, and was quickly promoted to the Major Crimes Division as a Senior Trial Attorney with a caseload involving complex attempted murders and sex crimes. In 2013, Mrs. Poore took a position with the Regional Conflict Counsel and defended all felony cases including murder.
Mrs. Poore has defended thousands of clients in nearly every area of criminal law and has taken close to 40 cases to trial, the vast majority of which have been at the felony level. She has been in private practice since 2015 focusing on all types of criminal and traffic charges. In her spare time, she is very active in her children’s schools and is currently in training to become a certified yoga teacher.
